Day 2
After a refreshing night sleep we got up early for an amazing breakfast. (We are now spoiled with espresso machines at our hotel breakfast). Today was the encouraging gathering. It was the friends first time hosting so it was a bit chaotic and we nicknamed our small 8-10 person group as the lost group. We walked what seemed like forever to the subway then walked some more. The sister who lead our group happened to be part of the Nepali pregroup, a small group of only 9 publishers. Out of all the volunteers it was .001% chance we would meet. She was so excited we knew Nepali and wanted us to move there to help the 100,000 Nepali who moved into Bucharest. Day 1
Travel was long but smooth. After a drive to Toronto with friends we are dearly grateful for – Seth and Beck – we get on an 8 hour flight to Munich. Leg room was questionable but we got up enough to prevent any blood clots and got fed well. Next, Munich to Bucharest, Romania. We made it! The love from the friends is remarkable and beyond compare no matter where we are. Despite the jet lag and lack of sleep we were taking it all in and so grateful for all the local friends sacrifices. After a much needed nap… We were able to nap a few hours to try to minimize jet lag and woke up in the evening (AM for Buffalo) and met up out to eat with old and new friends.
It begins….
7 years ago was the best time we ever had being at an International convention in Ecuador. Now on 2026 we are so grateful to be able to go once again. This time to Romania.
